The Spurs have their roots in the Clare Valley with a winery at Sevenhill and a premium range of wines from the Clare area. The majority of vineyard land managed by The Spurs is comprised of deep and fertile alluvial soils of the Armagh Valley situated at the northern end of Clare. It is from these vineyards that our premium Clare wines are made.
Our mature, low yielding vineyards consistently produce very good fruit. Hand pruning and a traditional trellis system, minimal chemical inputs and a reliance on rainfall for irrigation ensure small berries and concentrated flavours.
The Spurs is a diverse wine company offering quality wines from premium regions within Australia, New Zealand and France. We grow grapes at our own vineyards in South Australia and source carefully selected wines from our strategic partners internationally. Our philosophy is simple, great wines from great regions at great prices.
